What to expect

At ABTK9, we operate with structure, clarity, and purpose. Our programs are designed to provide consistent care, professional handling, and realistic expectations for both dogs and owners.

Every dog is managed as an individual. Training and boarding environments are structured, safety-focused, and intentional—not free-for-all settings. Owners can expect clear communication, defined standards, and a facility that prioritizes accountability, consistency, and the well-being of every dog in our care.

This page outlines how our programs work, what we require from clients, and what dogs experience while at ABTK9—so there are no surprises, only clear expectations from day one.

At ABTK9, clear expectations create better outcomes for everyone involved. The following outlines what clients and dogs can expect when participating in our programs.

Transparency & Communication

Clients are expected to provide honest, complete information regarding their dog’s behavior, history, health, and training background. Clear communication allows us to manage dogs safely and effectively from day one.

Structured Care

Dogs in our care are managed with structure and purpose. This includes appropriate confinement when not actively handled, controlled exercise, and enrichment based on individual needs. Our facility is not a daycare or free-roam environment.

Training Reality

Training results are not guaranteed. Progress depends on consistency, follow-through, and the dog’s individual temperament and history. Owners should expect realistic goals, professional handling, and clear feedback throughout the process.

Boarding Standards

Boarding at ABTK9 is structured and safety-focused. Dogs may be crated or kenneled when not actively engaged, and interaction is provided at staff discretion.

Cleanliness & Management

Owners must be honest about potty training. Dogs represented as potty trained that repeatedly soil the facility may require additional management or incur cleaning fees.

Facility Responsibility

Owners are financially responsible for any damage caused by their dog to the facility, equipment, or property while in our care.

Health & Medication

Dogs must arrive healthy and current on required vaccinations. Any prescribed medications must be provided in original veterinary-labeled containers with dosage instructions intact.
** Required vaccinations include: Rabies, Bordetella, DAPP/DHPP, Leptospirosis, and a clean fecal exam provided within the past six (6) months.

Scheduling & Payment

Drop-offs and pick-ups are by appointment only. All services and additional fees are due according to agreed terms.

Safety & Fit

ABTK9 reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog is not a safe or appropriate fit for the facility or program.

If everything above feels aligned, we’d be happy to move forward with you.

Our goal is to provide clear structure, thoughtful care, and professional handling for every dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to review expectations upfront helps ensure the best experience for both you and your dog.

We look forward to working with you.
