Home to Home

with ABTK9
At ABTK9, we believe every dog deserves a safe, stable, and loving home.
Our Home to Home program helps responsibly rehome dogs who are currently looking for a soft space to land. Each dog is evaluated by our trainer, supported with structured routines, and given the time and compassion they need while waiting for their perfect match.
hera

Meet Hera! Hera is a 3-year-old, spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm-prevention–current German Shepherd who is ready to find her perfect match. This gorgeous girl is incredibly sweet, loyal, and people-focused, and she bonds quickly with those she trusts. Hera is crate trained and potty trained, making her an easy transition into a home. She thrives on routine, structure, and having a person to look to for guidance. She would do best as the only pet in the home—this allows her to fully relax and shine without the stress of sharing her space. Like most shepherds, Hera is smart and energetic, and she needs an owner who can provide the mental and physical outlets this breed needs to be happy and balanced. If you’re looking for a loving, devoted companion who’s ready to be your adventure buddy and best friend, Hera may be the perfect fit. If interested, please email us at abtk9nc@gmail.com and we can arrange a meet and greet with Hera.

CALLIE

Meet Callie ! Callie is an almost one-year-old firecracker (turning 1 in January!)
Her breed mix is still to be determined, her Embark test is on the way, but what we do know is that this girl is smart, social, and seriously fun!
Callie is a little girl with BIG energy and an even bigger heart. She doesn't know a stranger, every person she meets is instantly her new best friend.
She’s incredibly intelligent and eager to learn, making her a fantastic candidate for a family that enjoys training, structure, and fun activities.
She has done well with the dogs we have tested her with and has shown herself to be a friendly, playful companion with a joyful spark that’s impossible not to love.
Callie would thrive with someone who understands active dogs and wants a sidekick who can keep up with an adventurous lifestyle. Interested in meeting Callie?

SENECA

Meet Seneca! Seneca didn’t get the easiest start in life — he was found on the side of the road in June 2025 — but he hasn’t let that dim his shine one bit. A big-hearted person rescued him with the dream of giving him forever, but between long work hours and caring for an elderly parent, she’s realized the most loving thing she can do now is help Seneca find the home he truly deserves.
And trust us — this boy deserves a good one.
Seneca is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s got people to love and a routine to follow. He would do best in a home with a secure 6-ft fence or no-climb kennel where he can stretch his legs and then come back inside for cuddles and companionship.
He’s already been someone’s rescue… now he’s ready to be someone’s best decision.
Seneca is about 2 years old and carries around roughly 80 pounds of pure handsome. He’s neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and stays protected with flea and tick prevention. He’s cat friendly, house trained (with the occasional boy-dog moment), and has the sweetest, steadiest temperament — the kind of dog that just makes a house feel like home. Please reach out so we can get you connected for a meet and greet!

PEETA

Meet Peta!
Peeta is about a year and a half old, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He was found alongside Seneca after the two of them were dumped together, and from day one he’s shown just how gentle and resilient he truly is. He’s learning the ropes on leash — not a puller, just still building confidence. He isn’t aggressive toward cats, though he may chase if they dart off, and while he can be shy at first, once he trusts you he becomes the sweetest, most tender companion.
Peeta does struggle with some separation anxiety, so he does best with the comfort of a secure crate or kennel where he can feel safe and settled. He’s a sensitive soul who simply needs patience, consistency, and a little extra reassurance to really shine.
In the past, Peeta injured himself trying to jump a fence, but the shaved areas you may notice are just from veterinary care and drain tubes — he is fully healed now and doing great.
Like Seneca, Peeta is being rehomed through no fault of his own. His rescuer stepped in when he needed help most and gave him safety, care, and a second chance — and now she’s continuing to do right by him by making sure his next home is one where he can get the time, stability, and attention he truly deserves. Peeta is ready for the next chapter of his journey, and we can’t wait to see him land exactly where he belongs. Please reach out to meet this cutie - we can get you in touch for a meet and greet!
